I will in Budapest from June 22-29. Anyone coming in earlier than orientation is welcome to hang out with me. After, I will be traveling through Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, and Romania visiting my two host families from last summer and then meeting up with Helena and Kinga, our country coordinators.

Alexandra is originally from Iowa and graduated from American
University last May with a B.A. in French. She is currently teaching
in Poitiers, France, returning to the country where she studied abroad
a few years ago. Her contract in France is up in June so she will
(obviously) be doing LE, then heading to Belgium to work on a goat
farm, then trekking over to India for a six month journalism
internship. Besides French and world traveling, she is really into
biking. Last summer she did a 500-mile week-long bike ride! She’s also
a big fan of French films and Bollywood (especially musicals). She has
traveled around Europe a little bit and she also did LE
before-teaching in Slovakia and Poland, where she ate serious amounts
of tomatoes and potatoes. In a few weeks she’ll be taking a trip to
Morocco so whoever has been there before send her tips!

Yana

Yana is a sophomore at Brown University (in Providence, RI),
where she is studying literary translation. She is originally from
Northwest Germany, where she grew up until she was ten. More recently,
she has lived in the Boston area. Yana greatly enjoys good food,
walking places barefoot, and being outside. She has a younger sister
who is very important to her. Yana decided to do LE because of the
opportunity to see eastern Europe and get to know some awesome kids.
